Who makes Efinia jewelry?

Every piece is handmade by independent makers. The current collection comes from a family-run workshop in Croatia that has been making gemstone jewelry by hand for more than twenty years. I don't make the pieces myself — I select them.

How do you choose the pieces?

I look for a particular balance: architectural metalwork, a stone that carries real color, and a scale you can wear on an ordinary day. Everything in the shop is something I would wear.

Are the stones natural?

Yes. All stones are natural, not synthetic or manufactured. Because they're natural, each one differs — see below. [Revisit after the treatment conversation with the workshop. If any stones are dyed, stabilized, or heat-treated, that needs stating here.]

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. Natural stones vary in color, pattern, and translucency, and each pair is cut and set by hand. The photographs show the specific piece or a representative one from the same batch. Small differences are part of what you're buying.

What metals do you use?

Will the gold plating wear off?

Plating wears over time, faster with contact with water, perfume, lotion, and friction. With reasonable care it holds up well for everyday wear. [Link to Jewelry care once that page exists.]

How heavy are the earrings?

Weights are listed on each product page. Most are light enough for all-day wear; the larger statement pieces are noted as such. [Depends on weights being added during the listing rewrite.]

What size are the pieces?

Can I return earrings?

No — earrings are final sale for hygiene reasons, which is standard for pierced jewelry. This doesn't apply if a piece arrives damaged or defective, or if you receive the wrong item. Necklaces and bracelets can be returned within 14 days. Full details are in the returns policy.

Do you restock sold-out pieces?

Usually not. Most pieces are made in very small numbers and once they're gone, they're gone. Some designs may return in a future batch, but I can't promise a specific piece. If there's something you missed, write to me and I'll let you know if it comes back.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Not at the moment. Every order arrives in packaging that's presentable enough to give as it is.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are packed and shipped within 2–3 business days, and domestic delivery usually takes 3–5 business days after that. You'll get a tracking number by email. Full details are in the shipping policy.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet — Efinia currently ships within the United States only.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Write to returns@efinia.co with your order number and a photo, and I'll make it right. Return shipping is covered in that case.
